Oh wow, the atmosphere in this is very neat. I really like how the pale yellow of the skull brings some warmth to the midst of all the cool blue-greens, and how the sparing usage of bright red makes the feather-antler things really pop out. I like how the character is pulling the skull in towards them and how their hair is flying up, too. All of the thin wispy lins and graphic curlicues in the background give it a neat illustrative look.

Combined with the title, this image gives me the sense that the skull is a symbol of hope or comfort in a cold and lonely environment, and the character is very grateful/loving towards it, perhaps in memory of what it was before it died, or perhaps just as an ironically morbid companion.

(This is extremely late, but congratulations on your semester being over... when it was over. I'm glad you were happy about it at the time. ...Uh, this kind of belated comment really doesn't work so well. )
